France, Germany, Italy, Brazil and Spain are all places most would want to visit before they die. Some would even add Africa, Australia and Jerusalem to that list. All these places are beautiful with exquisite architecture, food and other tourist attractions. But what would happen if, while you were there, you died? Here’s a quick test to see. Have you ever told a lie (even once)? Have you ever stolen (the value is irrelevant)? Or have you ever used God’s name in vain (this is called blasphemy)? If so, you’ve sinned against God and you have to face Him on Judgment Day. The Bible says, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” When you die, you will stand before God and He will judge you in accordance with the 10 Commandments. Since you’ve broken at least 3 of them (lying, theft and blasphemy), you will stand guilty before Him and because of your guilt and sin, you will end up in hell. Although this is unfortunate, there is good news! The Bible says, “God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” After Jesus Christ-God in the flesh-was crucified for the sins of the ungodly, He rose from the grave on the third day defeating death. If you will repent (turn from your sins) and put your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life.
